I want to build a self-hosted, all-in-one file server using Python. It should be super portable, ideally just a single script I can run on almost any device to turn a folder into a file-sharing hub on my network.

The main interface should be a modern web app. I want to be able to drag and drop files or entire folders to upload them, and it's very important that uploads can be resumed if they get interrupted. The UI needs to be user-friendly, showing thumbnails for photos and videos instead of just a file list. I also want a good search function, a way to download multiple files as a zip, and a built-in media player for streaming audio and video.

Besides the web browser, it should also support connecting via standard protocols like FTP and WebDAV. I'll need to be able to set up user accounts with different read/write permissions for specific folders and generate temporary links to share files.

Are you gonna build this?
