Build me a fun terminal lava lamp app in C that runs in a Unix like terminal and looks like moving glowing blobs made with metaballs.

I want it to animate smoothly in the terminal, with controls for changing the blob size, speed, number of blobs, colors, and rim thickness while it is running. It should support a normal color mode and a truecolor gradient mode, plus an option for gravity style motion where the blobs heat up near the bottom, rise, cool off, and fall back down. Please also add a party mode with a few different flashy visual styles, and let me customize the characters used to draw it for a nicer 3D look.
