AutoMQ/automq ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a working AutoMQ setup that lets me run a Kafka compatible streaming cluster backed by S3 instead of local disks.

I want the project to be easy to start locally and in a cloud environment, with clear commands for building, running, and trying it out with a simple producer and consumer example. If there are any missing setup details, please fill them in and make the defaults sensible, and look up current docs online if you need to.

Also make sure the docs explain how to connect to the cluster, what I need to configure for S3, and how to verify that it is working. If there are examples or shell tools in the repo, use them to show a basic end to end flow.
