Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a private desktop answer engine that works like a local Perplexity clone.

I want to ask a question, have it search the web through a local search service on my computer, and then give me a cited answer based on what it actually found, not just guess from memory. It should show the search queries and sources it used, and have a deep research mode for longer, more detailed reports. Let me choose between local models, my Claude subscription, or my own API keys from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, and xAI. If possible, include a mode where a few models answer the same question and the app compares them.

Make it feel like a real desktop app, with local storage, private by default, and an incognito option for chats that should not be saved. I also want export options for Markdown, PDF, and CSV, plus a simple setup flow for installing any local AI tools it needs. If you need to check current docs online while building, go ahead.
