Build me a simple URL shortener app with a small backend and a clean frontend.

I want to paste in a long link, get back a short link, and be able to open that short link to go to the original page. The frontend should make it easy to create a new short link and show the result right away. If it makes sense, add a basic list of links I’ve created so I can copy them again later.
