I want to build a simple and modern command-line tool for file encryption. The main goal is to make it super secure but without a bunch of confusing configuration options.
It should let a user generate a key pair. Then they can use someone's public key to encrypt a file, and only that person can decrypt it with their private key. It should also be possible to encrypt a file for multiple people at once, so any of them can open it.
Besides keys, I'd like an option to encrypt files with just a simple passphrase. Let's also make it future-proof with support for post-quantum encryption. For more technical users, it would be cool if it could use their existing SSH keys for encryption and maybe even integrate with hardware security keys like a YubiKey for a physical layer of security.
Are you gonna build this?
