HackerNews/API ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a simple Hacker News app that uses the official public API and feels fast and clean.

I want a homepage that shows the current top stories, plus separate views for new stories, Ask HN, Show HN, jobs, and polls. Each story should open a detail page with the title, author, score, time, link, and the full comment thread. Comments should load in a threaded view so I can expand and follow replies easily.

Please make it update in near real time when new stories or comments appear, and use the official Firebase backed API if that makes sense. Keep the design minimal and readable, with good mobile support. It should handle missing or extra fields gracefully, since the API can change over time. If you need current Firebase docs or best practices, look them up online first.
