Reverse engineered prompt

Build me an Android library that lets me connect views, strings, and click handlers to fields and methods with simple annotations, so I can stop writing a bunch of findViewById and listener boilerplate.

I want the main library, the annotation definitions, and the code that generates the binding classes at compile time. It should work in a normal app and also in library modules, including the special resource handling needed there. Please include a tiny sample app that shows how it’s used, and make the project build cleanly from Gradle.

If there are any modern Android or Java setup details I should use, feel free to check the current docs online. Keep the API easy to read and close to the examples in the README, with things like binding views and click methods on an Activity or Fragment style screen.
