LadybirdBrowser/ladybird ? reverse-engineered prompt
Reverse engineered prompt
I want to create a new web browser called Ladybird. The most important thing is that it should be truly independent, using its own novel engine built from scratch for modern web standards. It shouldn't be another skin on top of Chromium or Firefox.
It needs a secure, multi-process design. Each tab should run in its own process, so if one crashes, it doesn't take down the whole browser. Also, things like loading images and handling network requests should happen in separate processes to make it more robust.
Of course, it needs to handle the basics: rendering web pages with HTML/CSS, running JavaScript and WebAssembly, and playing audio and video. I know this is a huge project and it's still in an early state, but I want to get the foundation built. The project should be written in C++ and set up to build on Linux or macOS.
Are you gonna build this?
