Mafifrizi/tanuki ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me Tanuki, a small command line tool for Linux that helps with Active Directory and Kerberos triage without making a bunch of noise.

I want one clean install path and a simple CLI that can check the system, inspect keytabs, generate a Kerberos config, try to get a ticket, and explain common Kerberos errors in plain English. It should work as a fast standalone binary when possible, but also have a pure Python fallback for places where I can’t drop compiled tools. Keep it lightweight, with no extra dependencies if you can.

Please make the output practical for an operator, with clear status checks and helpful next steps. If you need to look up current docs online while wiring it up, that’s fine. Also include a doctor style command, a ladder style help command, and a triage command for common error codes.
