OCA/product-variant — reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a set of Odoo 18 community addons that make product variants easier to manage in sales and inventory.

I want users to be able to configure product variants from attributes, create variants only when needed, change a variant’s attribute values safely, and archive old attribute values when they’re only used by archived products. Let product managers set taxes, fixed sale prices, custom names, internal codes, and specific descriptions per variant. The internal code should be generated automatically when possible, so people don’t have to type SKUs by hand.

In sales, make the variant selection feel simple, and make sure the sale order line can show the right variant description so customers and staff know exactly what was ordered.

Please keep it compatible with Odoo 18 and OCA style, with clean manifests, access rules, views, tests where useful, and no weird shortcuts. Look up the current Odoo docs online if you need to.
