I want this repo turned into a working, simple video editor that feels like the old easy part of CapCut, but privacy first so people’s videos stay on their own device. Please focus on getting the web app running well, since that looks like the main usable part here and the desktop side is still in progress.

Use the existing codebase and wire up whatever is needed so I can open it locally and actually try editing with a clean timeline based workflow, basic project management, and a polished UI. If something is half finished, make the experience feel coherent instead of chasing advanced stuff. Prioritize timeline behavior, general app performance, bug fixes, and the parts outside the preview panel. Don’t spend time inventing export or fancy preview effects if those areas are still being refactored.
