PanJiaChen/vue-admin-template ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a clean Vue 2 admin dashboard starter that feels simple and polished, not bloated. I want a sidebar layout, a top bar, a main content area, and a few example pages so I can see how to add new screens later. Use Element UI for the interface, axios for API calls, and include basic permission controlled routing so some pages can be protected or shown only after login.

Please make it easy to run locally, easy to build for production, and set up with sensible defaults for development, staging, and production. I also want a mock data setup for quick demos, a nice icon set, and linting so the code stays clean. Keep it minimal, reusable, and ready to become the base for a real admin system. If you need to check current docs for anything, go ahead and look them up online.
