Build me a tool that lets me keep using the chat I already have open in my browser, but connect it to a local coding assistant from my computer.

I want a command line app plus a Chrome extension that work together. The app should start a local bridge, connect to one selected browser tab, and let Codex or another local client send prompts through that tab as if it were a private endpoint. It should feel tab bound, so only the chosen chat tab is used, and it should protect the page from accidental clicks while it is active.

Please make it support the main chat providers people already use, like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, and allow other secure chat pages if needed. I’d also like a mode where one browser conversation can be exposed as a local API for other tools to use. Keep it simple to start, with a clean side panel in the extension, clear activation and deactivation, and good defaults. If you need to check current browser or API docs, look them up online first.
