Build me a visual knowledge app that feels like a simpler offline OneNote, but centered around a big freeform canvas like Excalidraw.

I want to be able to create and organize notes, folders, PDFs, and drawings in one place, then move things around visually instead of stuffing everything into lists. It should save everything locally, be fast, and not depend on any cloud account. Add simple search and tags so I can find things quickly, and include a clean sidebar for navigating my workspace.

Please make it work as a desktop app first, with a good browser version too if that fits naturally. I’d also like basic keyboard shortcuts for common actions like opening panels, locking items, and changing direction while working on the canvas. Keep the UI polished and practical, with a modern dark friendly look. If you need to check current docs for any libraries, go ahead and look them up online.
