WinMerge/winmerge ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a Windows desktop app that lets me compare two files or folders and clearly see what is different. I want the differences shown side by side in a way that is easy to read, with line by line highlighting for text files and a clear view for folders so I can spot missing, changed, or extra items fast.

It should also let me merge changes from one side to the other, ignore simple differences like whitespace or case when I choose, and handle common text formats with syntax highlighting. If possible, include support for comparing files inside archives too, and make it work from the Windows context menu so I can launch comparisons from File Explorer.

Please build it as a polished native Windows app, and make sure it can be opened and run from Visual Studio. If you need to check current docs or best practices for any Windows tooling, look them up online.
