WordPress/gutenberg ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a new editor for WordPress to replace the classic one. I want to create a more modern, block-based system for writing posts and designing pages. The main idea is that every single piece of content is its own block—a paragraph is a block, an image is a block, a heading is a block, and so on.

Users should be able to add these blocks to a page and then rearrange them visually, almost like playing with Legos. This should make it super intuitive to build rich, complex layouts without needing to know any HTML or use confusing shortcodes.

This whole editor should be packaged as a WordPress plugin. Let's use modern JavaScript for this, probably with React for all the UI components. Since there will be a lot of different pieces, set it up as a monorepo to keep the code organized. Also, include a component library like Storybook so we can see all the blocks we're building.
