YSSF8/crosshair-y — reverse-engineered prompt
Reverse engineered prompt
Build me a free desktop app like Crosshair X for gamers, but open source. It should show a crosshair overlay on top of games and let the user pick from built in crosshairs or load their own PNG and SVG crosshair images from a folder.
I want a simple settings window where people can turn the overlay on and off, change the size, color hue, rotation, and opacity, and move the crosshair away from the exact center if they want. Include a shortcut like Ctrl Shift S that saves the crosshair position to wherever the mouse cursor is, plus an option to go back to always centered.
Please add presets so users can save, load, and delete different crosshair setups. Store the settings locally so they’re remembered next time. Also include a basic SVG editor so users can tweak SVG crosshairs inside the app.
Make it lightweight and packageable for Windows and Linux. Use Electron or whatever fits best, and look up current docs online if you need to.
