Build me a browser extension that makes YouTube easier and nicer to use, with a clean settings page where people can turn features on and off.

I want it to work in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. The extension should add helpful controls to YouTube like remembering volume, showing remaining time, maximizing the player, looping videos, opening transcripts, automatic theater mode, hiding Shorts, hiding live chat, hiding end screen cards, cleaning up YouTube redirect links, and skipping the “video paused, continue watching” popup.

Also include video watching history so users can resume where they left off, scroll wheel controls for volume and playback speed, automatic video quality selection, forced playback speed, playback speed buttons, and volume boost. Add simple on screen display settings so users can choose the color, style, position, opacity, and hide delay.

Please make the UI polished and understandable for normal users, save all settings properly, and structure it so it can be built and packaged as a real browser extension. Look up current extension docs online if you need to.
