Zishan108/geo-news-density-viewer ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a web app called Global News Density Map that shows a live world map of where news is happening right now.

It should pull in global news events from GDELT, update automatically about every 15 minutes, and display them as a heatmap where heavier or more negative coverage looks hotter. I want a simple way to browse events by time and country, see which countries are having unusual spikes compared with their normal baseline, and click into a story to get a short preview with a summary and image. Please make it feel fast and clean, with a dark and light theme, and let me search for a place and fly the map there.

If you need to look up current docs online while building it, go ahead. Also include a basic backend API, database storage, and a status check for whether ingestion is working.
