Build me a clean personal blog site that I can host on GitHub Pages.

I want it to feel like a modern developer blog, with a homepage, post pages, tags, categories, and a simple navigation for things like about, archives, and any extra tabs I might add later. It should be easy for me to write new posts in Markdown, and the design should be responsive, fast, and good on mobile and desktop.

Please set it up so the site can be deployed automatically to GitHub Pages, and make sure the config is ready for a custom domain too. I’d also like a nice reading experience with syntax highlighting, search, and a polished layout that works well for long form articles.

If anything depends on current best practices for Jekyll or GitHub Pages, look up the current docs online and follow them.
