Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a clean dotfiles setup for my Linux development machine.

I want the repo to use GNU Stow so I can clone it, run stow . from the root, and have my shell and app config files linked into place. Include sensible setup for my terminal shell, profile, and general config folders, and make it easy to add things like Helix, Kanata, Yazi, and Git SSH setup without making the repo feel overly complicated.

If it makes sense, include an optional Home Manager setup for installing a few packages, but keep it easy to skip if I do not want to use Nix. Make the README clear enough that I can follow it from a fresh Linux install, including any steps I need for SSH keys and default editor setup. Look up current docs online if you need to, especially for Helix and Kanata.
