GitHub

Build me a simple GitHub repo called Awesome Codebases. It should be a curated list of great open source codebases that developers can explore to learn how real projects are structured.

Make the README feel clean and useful, with a short intro, an Awesome badge, and a list of projects where each entry has the project name, GitHub link, and a plain English one sentence description. Include examples like React and Vue architecture projects, scheduling apps, whiteboards, link shorteners, collaboration tools, note apps, video meeting apps, blogs, and other well known open source products.

Also add a short contributing guide so people know they can suggest new codebases, and include an MIT license. Keep it lightweight, this is not an app, it’s mainly a polished awesome list that someone can browse quickly and use as a learning resource. Make sure the formatting is consistent and easy to scan on GitHub.
