Build me a simple Laravel web app starter that actually runs and feels polished, using the standard Laravel setup in this repo.

I want a clean landing page, a basic app layout, and a couple of sample pages so I can see routing, views, and navigation working end to end. Make sure the app is wired up properly with the default Laravel structure, database setup, and a working home route. If it makes sense, add a small example feature that shows how a page would read and save data, just enough to prove the app is functional.
