apache/thrift ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build Apache Thrift from source for me and make sure it works end to end.

I want to be able to compile the project, run the main checks, and have a simple local setup I can use to try it out. If there’s a recommended way to build it with Docker, use that, otherwise set it up the normal way from the source tree. Please make sure the compiler and the core libraries build cleanly, then run the available tests so I know nothing is broken. If anything is missing on my machine, install or document what I need in the simplest way possible.

Also, if it helps, add a quick example of how to generate code from a Thrift file and how to use it in a basic client and server flow. Look up current docs online if you need to, and keep the setup as straightforward as you can.
