asciimoo/hister ? reverse-engineered prompt

Build me a private personal search engine that runs locally and lets me search the pages I visit and the files I keep. It should save browser history through a Firefox and Chrome extension, index the full text of pages and documents, and let me search things again from a simple web interface, a terminal view, or an AI assistant through MCP. I want it to feel fast and easy to use, with support for things like exact phrases, filters, wildcards, and excluding terms, plus a way to rank important results higher. If possible, include optional semantic search for searching by meaning, but keep it private and local by default. Also make it able to import existing browser history and crawl websites when needed. I just want a clean self hosted app that helps me find stuff I have already seen without sending my data anywhere.
