Build me an AI research assistant that can take any question from a user, search the web and optionally read local documents, then produce a detailed factual report with citations.

I want it to feel like a simple research workspace. The user types a topic, chooses the kind of report they want, starts the research, and can watch progress while the app gathers sources, summarizes them, keeps track of references, and combines everything into a final unbiased answer. The report should be long form when needed, include source links, and be exportable to formats like PDF or Word. If possible, include relevant images from sources or simple AI made visuals for the report.
