I want to build a foundational graphics rendering library, not a whole game engine. The idea is to have a "bring your own engine" style library that handles the low-level graphics stuff for me.
It should be written in C++ and be super portable. I need it to work across many different graphics APIs without me having to write separate code for each one. For example, my code should run on DirectX 11/12 for Windows, Metal for Apple devices, Vulkan for Linux, and even WebGL for browsers. The library should abstract all that away.
It should let me manage things like buffers, shaders, and textures in a consistent way. Since it's a library, it also needs to be callable from other languages, so create bindings for C#, Python, and Rust. Basically, give me a powerful, cross-platform layer to draw things on screen so I can focus on building my actual game or application on top of it.
Are you gonna build this?
