Build me a lightweight browser confetti effect that I can drop into a webpage and trigger with a function call.

I want it to animate colorful particles on a canvas, feel fast and smooth, and let me control the main things like how many pieces burst out, the angle, spread, speed, gravity, drift, colors, shapes, size, and where it launches from on the screen. It should work with a normal script tag in the browser, and also be usable from a JS project build. If it’s helpful, include a simple demo page with a button that launches confetti.
