Build me a Node.js library that can take a social media or file sharing link and turn it into a direct downloadable link or a clean metadata response.

I want it to work for common sites like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Twitter or X, Facebook, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and also link unlockers and file hosts like MediaFire, Pixeldrain, Catbox, Google Drive, Krakenfiles, and short links. The main idea is simple, pass in a URL and get back either a direct media file link, a stream link, or the final destination URL, along with useful info like title, thumbnail, type, quality, and downloads when available.

Make it easy to use from both CommonJS and ESM, with a small API that feels clean and consistent. Include fallback behavior when one source fails, and return a clear success or failure object instead of throwing confusing errors. If you need to check current site behavior or docs online, do that. Also add a few examples and tests so I can quickly see it working.
