Build me a simple Python command line tool for managing computational experiments.
I want to be able to run a script in its own experiment folder, give each run a name, save the script and logs there, and automatically keep track of outputs so I can rerun the same experiment later. It should also support running multiple copies in parallel, with each copy getting its own process id through an environment variable, so my script can write separate result files.
Please include commands for running, rerunning, tailing a live log, and packing or unpacking an experiment folder into a tar file. If possible, make it work with Slurm too, and support running remotely over SSH the way a researcher would actually use it on a cluster or another machine. Keep it friendly on Linux and macOS, and make sure there are a couple of simple example scripts and tests so I can see how to use it. If you need to check current docs or best practices online, go ahead.
