curlpipe/ox ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a lightweight but flexible terminal text editor called Ox.

I want it to feel easy to open and start typing right away, with a first run setup wizard, a clean interface, and good defaults. It should support opening and editing multiple files, tabs, split views, a file tree for browsing folders, and a status bar that shows what file is open and whether there are unsaved changes. Please include syntax highlighting, undo and redo, search and replace, mouse support, multiple cursors or other quick multi edit tools, and the ability to open a terminal inside the editor.

Make it configurable so I can change colors, key bindings, and behavior, and let me use Lua for config if that fits. I also want a simple plugin system so features can be added later. Keep it fast, practical, and usable in Linux first, but don’t break support for macOS and Windows. If you need to check current Rust or terminal UI docs online while building it, go ahead.
