Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a small tool that turns any GitHub repo into a clean text summary I can paste into an AI chat.

I want to be able to give it a GitHub URL or a local folder, and get back a prompt friendly digest with the file tree, the important code contents, and a short summary with useful stats like file count, folder structure, size, and token count. It should also work from the command line, and I’d like a simple Python API too so I can import it in scripts or notebooks.

Make it easy to use for public repos, and support private repos with a GitHub token. If possible, let me use it on a subfolder too, and skip ignored files by default. Also add a neat trick where replacing hub with ingest in a GitHub URL shows the digest version of that repo.

If you need to look up current docs or implementation details online, go ahead.
