Build me a clean personal portfolio website that feels polished and modern, using the starter that’s already in this repo. I want it to work well on phones and desktops, load fast, and be easy for me to update later with my own info.

Make it feel like a real personal website, with a nice landing section, a short about me area, a place to show a few projects or pieces of work, and a simple contact section with links to email and social profiles. Keep the design professional but friendly, with good spacing, readable text, and smooth scrolling or light animations if they fit naturally.

Please wire in realistic placeholder content so I can see the full site working right away, and make sure the styling is consistent across the whole page. If there are obvious rough edges in the existing template, clean them up. Add clear comments where I’d swap in my own text, images, and links. You can look up current docs online if you need to.
