Build me an enterprise-grade metadata platform, basically an open-source AI data catalog for my whole company. The main goal is to create a central hub where we can discover, govern, and observe all our data assets from one place.

It needs to connect to our entire data ecosystem—warehouses, data lakes, BI tools, you name it—and pull in metadata to create a unified graph. My team should be able to search for datasets, see who owns them, and visually trace the data lineage to understand how it flows through our systems.

A key feature is making this entire catalog accessible to AI agents. I want my team to be able to ask it natural language questions like, "What tables contain customer PII?" or "Show me how this dashboard is built." Essentially, build the central nervous system for our data stack that works for both people and AI.
