I want a simple polished single page web app built in the existing index.html file. There is not much structure in this repo yet, so please turn it into something that feels complete and usable instead of a blank starter page.

Please also tidy up the code so it is easy to read and maintain. If needed, look up current HTML and CSS best practices online.
