Build me a polished Next.js app from this starter project, with a clean modern homepage that looks good on desktop and mobile.

I want it to feel like a real product site, with a simple header, a strong hero section, a few clear sections that explain what the app does, and a nice footer. If there is already a database setup in the project, hook it up where it makes sense, but keep the first version simple and easy to run locally.

Use the existing styling approach in the repo, keep the design responsive, and make sure the page feels finished instead of like a default template. If you need to check current docs for anything, go ahead and look them up online. Also make sure the app runs cleanly with the existing dev command and that the main page is the part I can immediately open and see working.
