Build me a lightweight native game engine for 2D and 3D projects in C++, with a visual editor and Lua scripting.
I want to be able to create scenes, place sprites, tilemaps, models, lights, cameras, UI, and simple animations, then hit play and test the game right inside the editor. It should use an entity component system, stay fast and data oriented, and support both 2D and 3D gameplay in the same project. Please include export paths for desktop and web, and make sure projects can be built as normal source code outside the editor too.
It should support common game features like physics, audio, shaders, resource loading, and basic animation tools, and work across Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS, and HTML5 as much as possible. If you need to, look up the current docs online and make sensible choices based on the existing codebase.
