Build me a polished open source app for private photo storage and sharing, something like a secure alternative to Google Photos and Apple Photos.

It should let people back up photos and videos from their phone and computer, view them in a clean gallery, organize them into albums, share them safely, and import and export their library easily. Privacy should be a big focus, so everything should be end to end encrypted, with the server never able to read user data. If it makes sense, include a simple companion app for storing two factor codes too, since this project seems to cover that as well.

Make it work across web, mobile, and desktop, and keep it friendly enough that a normal person could use it without thinking about encryption. If you need to check current docs or best practices online, go ahead and look them up.
