I want this turned into a polished Matrix client that I can run myself, mainly on the web, with desktop support if it already comes with the project. The main goal is simple, let people sign in to their Matrix account or homeserver, see their rooms and direct chats, send messages, and use it as a real everyday collaboration app with a clean, modern feel.

Please make the web app the priority and make sure it works well in current desktop browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. If there is already a desktop wrapper in the repo, get that working too, but do not let that slow down the web version. I also want the setup to be straightforward, with clear config for pointing the app at my own Matrix server and sensible defaults for local development.
