Teachers should be able to take attendance, manage assignments, enter grades, and send progress information. Office staff should be able to search students by things like grade, schedule, absences, grades, GPA, eligibility, and activities, then print or view useful reports.

Please make it practical and usable from a browser, with clean screens and sample data so I can test it right away. Use PHP with a normal database like MySQL or PostgreSQL, and set it up so it can be installed on a regular school server.
