Build me a simple Python command line tool that helps me summarize long books and text files with Claude 3.7.

I want to drop files into a BooksIn folder, run the script, pick a book from a list, and then choose how long I want the summary to be in reading time. The app should estimate the original reading time, estimate the cost before it starts, and handle big files by splitting them up if needed. It should save the finished summary into a BooksOut folder, and keep the original file there too.

If possible, also support EPUB output when pandoc is installed, and make it recover cleanly if the process gets interrupted by saving temporary progress in a Temp folder and offering to resume next time. It should work with plain text and EPUB files, and let me either use it interactively or point it at a specific file from the command line. If you need to check current Anthropic or pandoc docs online, go ahead.
