gloveboxes/rigol-mcp ? reverse-engineered prompt

Reverse engineered prompt

Build me a standards based MCP server for a Rigol oscilloscope on the local network, using stdio so any MCP client can talk to it. It should connect to the scope over LAN on port 5555, discover the instrument, check its current settings, and provide tools for common actions like reading scope info, getting capabilities, taking measurements, and saving captures or screenshots.

Please make it run only in a lightweight container, with the scope IP passed in at runtime, and keep the files it saves in a persistent data folder. The main target should be the Rigol DHO814, but if some older convenience commands for DS1000Z, MSO1000Z, or DHO924S can stay supported, that would be great. If you need to look up current docs online while finishing it, go ahead.

I want the setup to be simple enough that I can launch it from an MCP client without installing anything on my machine besides Docker or Apple Container.
