Build me a retro Android YouTube app that works on very old phones, ideally all the way back to Android 1.5.

I want it to feel like a real native app, not a web page, and it should let people browse popular videos, search, open a video page, read comments, see related videos, and visit channels. Playback should support different qualities when available, and if a phone can’t play a video well, give a way to use an external player or convert the video so it can still play on older devices. The app should not depend on one single backend, it should use multiple YouTube style APIs and switch between instances so it keeps working if one is down. It should also update the instance list automatically from a URL.

Make the UI simple and usable on both phones and tablets, and keep compatibility in mind for very old Android versions. If you need to check current docs for any of the backends, look them up online.
