Build me a simple API that generates QR codes from text or a link.

I want to send in some text, like a URL or message, and get back a QR code I can use right away, ideally as an image response and maybe with an easy way to download it too. Keep it straightforward and clean, with basic validation so empty or broken input is handled nicely.

Please make it easy to run locally, include a simple start up flow, and add a couple of example requests so I can test it quickly. If you need to check the latest docs for anything, go ahead and look them up online.

I do not need a fancy UI, just a reliable API that does one job well and is easy to understand and use.
