Build me a simple PDF question and answer web app where I can upload a PDF, pick one document, and ask questions about it in a chat style interface.

I want it to read the PDF, break it into chunks, save the document info, and use AI to answer only from the selected file. Please include source citations for each answer, like the file name, page number, and a short snippet from the text so I can verify it. Make the UI clean and responsive, with drag and drop upload, a document list, and an active document selector.

Keep it lightweight, no Docker needed, and store the document metadata locally so it still works after restart. Use a free or easy to configure AI setup if possible, and look up current docs online if you need to.
