Build me a local coding assistant for VS Code that works completely offline, like a lightweight Copilot or Claude for my own projects.

I want a chat panel where I can ask questions about the codebase, request changes, and review files against my team’s coding standards. When I ask for an edit, it should make a proposal first, show me the diff, run checks on the file, and let me accept or reject every change before anything is saved. It should also be able to use the open file and other context files I choose, and answer with links back to the source files it used.

Use a local model through Ollama, keep everything on my machine, and make it work with different languages and projects. If you need to look up current docs online to make sure the pieces fit together, go ahead.
