Build me a document question answering app where I can upload a PDF, text file, or markdown file, then ask questions about it and get answers based only on that document.

I want a clean web app with a Library page for uploads, a Chat page for asking questions, and a Compare page that shows how well the document search is working. The chat should show the answer plus the matching passages beside it, and it should support follow up questions, saving chat history, renaming, pinning, and deleting chats. It should also let me switch between a document based answer and a baseline answer with no document, so I can compare the difference.

Use a local backend and frontend, save uploaded files and chat history locally, and make sure the app still works in a limited way if the AI key is missing by showing extracted passages. If you need current setup details, look up the latest docs online while you build it.
