httpie/cli ? reverse-engineered prompt

I want to build a modern replacement for curl that's much more user-friendly, especially for someone working with APIs. The goal is to make a command-line HTTP client that feels intuitive and is designed for the modern web.

When I run it, the output in the terminal should be beautiful, with automatic JSON formatting and colorized syntax highlighting to make it easy to read. The commands themselves should have a simple, natural syntax. It should handle all the standard stuff like sending custom headers, working with HTTPS, and using proxies. I also need built-in support for sending JSON data, submitting forms, and handling file uploads. And it would be great if it could maintain a persistent session so I don't have to keep authenticating. Finally, it should be able to download files, kind of like wget. Use Python for this.
