Build me an unofficial Linux installer and wrapper for OpenAI Codex Desktop.
I want it to take the official macOS Codex download, turn it into a working Linux Electron app, and make it easy for normal Linux users to install. It should support common native packages for Debian and Ubuntu, Fedora and openSUSE, and Arch based systems. Also include a local AppImage build option and a Nix option if possible.
Please include simple terminal commands like bootstrap, install, build, package, update, and setup. The setup flow should guide first time users, install missing build tools when it can, and explain what to do if something needs sudo.
The app should bundle what it needs for Node so users don’t have to manage that manually. Include a local update manager that can rebuild from newer Codex downloads and install after the app closes. Add clear docs for troubleshooting Wayland, X11, GPU issues, optional Linux features, plugins, and manual updates.
